abstract FIELD: manufacture of aromatic hydrocarbons. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes conversion of hydrocarbon fraction C 2 -C 6 at addition of at least one gas selected from the following series: nitrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, helium, argon, methane or any mixture of these elements in presence of porous catalyst at temperature of 400-800 C, pressure not exceeding 2 Mpa and volumetric flow rate of hydrocarbon mixture not exceeding 10000 h -1 . Used as catalyst is zeolite of alumino-silicate composition at mole ratio SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 not exceeding 450 selected from series ZSM-5, ZSM-11, ZSM-35, ZSM-38, ZSM-48 and BETA or use is made of gallo-silicate or gallo-alumino- silicate or iron silicate or iron-alumino-silicate or chromium-silicate or chromium-alumino-silicate at structure ZSM-5, ZSM-11, ZSM-48 or BETA.
