titleOfInvention A melting furnace for production of magnesium alloys
abstract FIELD: metallurgy of light alloys. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a melting furnace for production of magnesium alloys. The invention may be used in metallurgy of light alloys and for melting, refining and inoculation of magnesium alloys. The melting reverberatory furnace for production of magnesium alloys contains an incased in a steel skeleton refractory laying of the furnace roof and pool, consisting of internal and external laying of the walls, roughing and working bottoms separated by filling with a powder of periclase. The laying of the furnace roof and roughing bottom is made out of firebricks. The external laying of the walls, at least, above the level of metal is made out of firebrick, diatomite or periclase lightweight refractory bricks. The internal laying of the walls at least at the level of metal and under it and the laying of the working bottom are made out of magnesite bricks. The internal laying of the walls above the metal level is made out of executed from magnesite or firebricks. EFFECT: the invention allows to increase the service life the furnace and to improve purity of metal due to more complete removal of slags from the walls of the furnace. 8 cl, 1 dwg, 2 ex
