titleOfInvention | Alumina-based foamed-ceramic material, a product from foamed-ceramic material, and a method for manufacture thereof |
abstract | FIELD: ceramics. SUBSTANCE: foamed-ceramic material contains at least 98.9% alumina, 0.15- 0.4% magnesia, no more than 0.1% silica, and no ore than 0.1% iron oxide, its melting point being 2040 C and average corundum grain size 0.5-15.0 mcm. Material and medical-destination product therefrom are manufactured by grinding alumina in aqueous medium to obtain suspension, which is molded, caked and carbonized in oxidative medium at 1150-1250 C and then fired in oxidative medium at 1750-1790 C. EFFECT: improved qualitative characteristics of material and products. 17 cl, 4 dwg, 5 ex |
