titleOfInvention Method for handling solid low-radioactivity wastes
abstract FIELD: handling solid wastes. SUBSTANCE: method includes treatment of solid wastes to bring them to specific activity for their limited use, bifurcation of limited-use solid waste flow, first being total flow having corpuscular specific waste activity between lower level of limited-use specific-activity wastes to 15% of upper level of limited-use specific-activity solid wastes; second flow has specific-activity level between 15 and 100% from upper level of specific-activity limited-use solid wastes. First-flow wastes are placed in reservoir made of water-tight material; second-flow wastes are disposed in reservoir made of material insulating them from environment. Limited-use solid wastes are stored on disposal ground for industrial wastes. EFFECT: enhanced safety in handling radioactive wastes; reduced cost of their storage. 5 cl, 6 ex
