titleOfInvention Method of preparing expanded graphite
abstract FIELD: carbon materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing graphite tapes, foil, catalyst carriers, sorbents, and bandage substitutes. 2 g of intercalated compound of fluorinated graphite with chlorine trifluoride or acetone are treated with 50 ml of hydrazine hydrate in aqueous medium. Mixture is kept 0.5 h at room temperature and stirring. Resulting solution is filtered, solid phase washed with water to neutrality of wash water, and dried at 100 C. Thus obtained graphite has specific surface 220-250 sq.m/g and particle size (2-3)•10 -3 mcm. EFFECT: simplified process and achieved environmental safety owing to lack of gas fluorohydrocarbon emission and excluded heat treatment stage. 2 ex
