abstract FIELD: agriculture, in particular, protection of honey bees and useful insects from parasite mites. SUBSTANCE: composition comprises formic acid and gelling component, which swells in formic acid and is transformed into gel. Method allows mites to be killed in sealed brood and provides prolonged evaporation of formic acid and, accordingly, prolonged action thereof upon parasites at any development stage.
