abstract |
FIELD: metallurgy, possibly manufacture of coated metallic articles such as blades of turbines of gas- turbine engines. SUBSTANCE: metallic article includes ceramic coating providing heat barrier. Said coating includes inner part, intermediate part and outer part. Inner part has columnar grains grown in competitive conditions; outer part has columnar grain grown in stable conditions, intermediate part has columnar grains grown in conditions intermediate between above mentioned ones. Each columnar grain has in its outer portion constant cross section area along its whole length and smoothed lateral surfaces without protruded subgrains and it is separated from adjacent grains by similar spacings minimizing stresses and(or) deformation between adjacent columnar grains. Coating is applied by physical deposition from vapor phase. At process of applying coating ceramic evaporation rate, temperature and revolution number of metallic article are controlled during process of evaporation from vapor phase.
