titleOfInvention | Ionic polyurethanes |
abstract | FIELD: polymer materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrically charged polyurethanes for use as papermaking additive, which are prepared by reaction of isocyanate groups of polyisocyanate with hydroxyl groups of different alcohols comprising (i) first alcohol selected from one or several diols containing at least 10 carbon atoms; (ii) second alcohol selected from alkylenediols having no more 8 carbon atoms, alkylenoxydiols having no more 8 carbon atoms, and polyols with at least three hydroxyl groups, and their mixtures; (iii) third alcohol selected from diols containing charged group or atom, diols containing uncharged group or atom capable of accepting charge and of at least partially converting uncharged group or atom into charged group or atom, and polyols, after which one or more hydroxyl groups coming with polyols are brought into reaction with compound containing charged group or atom or with compound containing uncharged group or atom capable of accepting charge and of at least partially converting uncharged group or atom into charged group or atom, or with these mixtures to give polyurethanes. EFFECT: improved pasting properties of polyurethanes or their dispersions and increased their stability as compared with known anionic polyurethanes. 17 cl, 2 tbl, 16 ex |
