abstract |
FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to isolation of bis-(4-hydroxyaryl)alkanes and aromatic hydroxy-compounds. Adducts are prepared by acid-catalyzed interaction of aromatic hydroxy-compounds with ketones followed by addition of solution of alkaline metal hydroxide to adduct in crystalline form as aerosol. The parent aqueous solution comprises 0.005-0.015 wt.-% of hydroxide. Then adduct is decomposed by distillation and end product is separated from aromatic hydroxy-compound. Mass consumption of alkaline metal is corrected by content of by-side products in preparing bis-(4-hydroxyaryl)alkane. Bisphenol A of high purity is prepared from adduct of bisphenol A and phenol preferably. Method provides significant reduction of impurities in preparing bis- (4-hydroxyaryl)-alkane with high purity degree. EFFECT: improved preparing method, enhanced quality of product. 6 cl, 3 ex |
