abstract |
FIELD: medicine, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention proposes a novel pharmaceutical composition for oral administration of molecular iodine and methods for its administration. The composition represents combination of iodine anion with certain oxidizing agent or iodine cation with certain reducing agent being weight ratio of iodide anion to iodate anion (I - /IO) is 0.78-6.0. Molecular iodine is formed in stomach in the controlled ratio of molecular iodine to the total iodine content exceeding at least 0.80 of theoretically expected maximal yield. Invention allows preparing the stable pharmaceutical composition and to control dose of releasing molecular iodine.
