titleOfInvention Method for surgical treatment of strabismus
abstract FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: the present method deals with surgical treatment of strabismus at abnormal fixation of rectus muscle. The latter should be isolated. One should detect meridian of muscular fixation and desired fixation meridian. P-shaped fragment is cut out of external scleral layers at the angle towards direction of muscular fibers between isolated meridians. From the side of fragment's acute angle in area of muscular tendon fixation one should carry out marginal tenotomy. One should tighten the fragment with adjacent muscle backwards. Then it is necessary to spread it. The present innovation enables to decrease the frequency of postoperative complications due to detection of desired meridian of muscular fixation and improve functional result of operation due to marginal tenotomy. EFFECT: higher efficiency of surgical treatment in case of strabismus. 4 dwg, 2 ex
