titleOfInvention Method for carrying out anterior layer-by-layer optical keratoplastic repair
abstract FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves making preliminary ring-shaped incision on recipient cornea in the center of pupil as a circle of 7-8 mm diameter and 200-220 mcm depth 2 weeks before transplantation. Then donor disk graft is cut out of 180-200 mcm in thickness and diameter equal to one of the preliminary ring-shaped incision on recipient cornea. The graft is deepithelialized. Pedicle graft of 9-10 mm diameter is formed in recipient cornea with microkeratome device and epithelial layer is separated from stroma in chemical way using 15-20% ethyl alcohol solution within 25-30 s exposure time without its being injured within the preliminary ring-shaped incision boundary. The graft is rolled upward and stromal disk is separated from epithelium along preliminary incision line from inside. Donor disk is set on its place. Corneal flap is placed into its original position and adapted by covering it with soft bandage contact lens. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment.
