abstract | FIELD: construction of chemical reactors; liquidphase oxidation of isobutane, isopentane, toluene, ethylbenzene, paraxylene, ethylene, metaxylene, isovaleric aldehyde, cyclohexane, etc. SUBSTANCE: proposed reactor has horizontal cylindrical housing divided into chambers by vertical partitions which are so located that form fire space above them, starting product supply pipe line, pipe line discharging oxidate from last chamber, oxidant- gas supply pipe line, secondary oxidation vapor discharge pipe line, circulating reaction mixture inlet and outlet pipe lines which are connected with one or several injection units, reaction mixture cooling unit, secondary oxidation vapor circulating manifold including injector; said manifold is located below upper edge of vertical partitions and is connected with oxidant-gas supply pipe line; pipe line used for delivery of starting products to reactor is provided with mass-exchange cell connected with secondary oxidation vapor discharge pipe line; reactor is provided with pipe line for circulating secondary oxidation vapor which is equipped with gas blower.
