titleOfInvention | Method for enhancing treatment and prophylaxis effectiveness in the cases of chronic frontal sinus inflammation disease recurrences |
abstract | FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves excising uncinate process with endonasal endoscopic frontonasal communication being revised in the cases of I stage ostial meatal complex deformity. Endonasal endoscopic anterior sinusotomy with uncinate process resection is carried out in the cases of II stage ostial meatal complex deformity (extremely pneumatized uncinate process and retiform bulla with bullously changed or paradoxically curved middle turbinated bone). Polysinusotomy with uncinate process resection is carried out in the cases of III stage ostial meatal complex deformity (combined ostial meatal complex deformity and nasal septum deformity in the middle nasal passage projection covering nasal torus more than by a half). EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of surgical intervention; prevented relapses and complications. |
