titleOfInvention | Method for making pupil in the cases of traumatic mydriasis |
abstract | FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves conducting atraumatic needle with thread through cornea 2 mm apart from the limb, iris is threaded over the needle near the pupil edge maximum 3-4 times and punctured out 2 mm far from the limb in 90 deg sector relative to the pierce-in point. The needle is pierced near the exit place into the cornea 2 mm backwards along the thread movement direction. The iris is threaded and punctured out in 90 deg sector relative to the second puncture exit place. The needle is moved sequentially to the first pierce-in place. The loops formed on the surface are cut and the pairs of threads are brought outside through neighboring thread exit hole using micro-hook. The threads are tied and cut. The operation is repeated in every sector. The last knot tightens the pupil to reach required pupil size. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; accelerated recovery period; no cornea opening and anterior chamber loss occurs. 4 dwg |
