abstract FIELD: mobile communication systems using time-division switching diversity transmission mode. SUBSTANCE: proposed device and method are used to control time-division switching diversity transmission for mobile communication system incorporating base station that functions to transmit data on forward common and allocated channels by means of at least two diversity-transmission antennas. Base station uses antenna to transmit message indicating time-division switching diversity transmission mode to plurality of mobile stations within its coverage zone, and then each mobile station analyzes message received from base station and establishes or does not establish its own mode of reception using time-division switching diversity transmission mode according to transmission mode. Proposed device and relevant control method are designed for data exchange between base station and mobile stations supporting time-division switching diversity transmission as required or optional function.
