SUBSTANCE: invention relates to perfluorinated copolymer containing functional sulfonic groups than can be used when manufacturing and repairing ion-exchange membranes useful in alkali chloride hydrolysis or water electrolysis, in fuel and gas separation cells, as well as for impregnating various substrates, etc. with free or alkali metal bound sulfonic acid groups having equivalent mass above 1000 and polar organic solvent or mixture of polar organic solvent with nonpolar solvent. Polymer is characterized by number-average molecular weight (1-8) x 10 5 , ratio of weigh- average molecular weight to number-average molecular weight between 1.2 and 1.4 and content of crystallization water 2-5 wt.%.
