abstract | FIELD: biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: method of isolation of polyhydroxyalkanoate from biomass involves the following stages: (a) treatment of biomass with solvent of polyhydroxyalkanoate and marginal non-solvent for polyhydroxyalkanoate; (b) removal of any insoluble biomass resulting to formation of suspension of precipitated polyhydroxyalkanoate in marginal non-solvent for polyhydroxyalkanoate. Method involves optional removal of marginal non-solvent for polyhydroxyalkanoate resulting to remaining polyhydroxyalkanoate. Invention relates also to polyhydoxyalkanoate suspension prepared by this method. Method ensures to obtain polyhydroxyalkanoate easily and economically.
