titleOfInvention Method of evaluation of functional state of bacterial population
abstract FIELD: microbiology. SUBSTANCE: functional state of bacterial population is evaluated by amount of formazan granules in cells by means of phase-contrasting microscope. Formazan granules are formed after cells inoculation in 0.1% solution of 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazolyl-2)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide in Hottinger's broth with 0.1% of glucose. Method provides sufficient precision for practical use, it does not require the use of complex analytical equipment, shows express feature and simplicity in using. EFFECT: improved method of evaluation. 2 dwg, 7 tbl
