abstract | FIELD: hydrogenation-dehydrogenation catalysts. SUBSTANCE: objective if invention is selective hydrogenation of olefinic double bonds present in diene/vinylbenzene copolymers. Such hydrogenation proceeds in presence of catalytic composition, which is prepared by reaction of following reactants: (i) bis(cyclopentadienyl)titanium of the general formula (C 5 H 5 ) 2 Ti(R)(R 1 ), wherein R and R 1 , identical or different, are halogens; (ii) organometallic derivative of general formula M(R 2 )(R 3 ) wherein M is zinc or magnesium and R 2 and R 3 , identical or different, are C1-C16-alkyls; and (iii) modifier selected from aromatic hydrocarbons.
