titleOfInvention Method for treating glaucoma
abstract FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves forming superficial rectangular scleral flap violating transparent cornea layers by 1 mm, deep triangular flap turned with its base towards limb retaining fine network of scleral fibers on vascular envelope. Eyeball massage is applied after intraocular fluid filtration occurring in the open Descemet's membrane zone. Pressure being reduced to 10-12 mm of mercury column, the remaining scleral fibers are separated and the deep scleral flap is dissected with trabecular zone strip and an area of the bare Descemet's membrane giving access to the anterior chamber. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; normalized intraocular pressure; reduced risk of complications.
