abstract FIELD: chemical and metallurgical industries; applicable in manufacture of crucibles components of column apparatuses. SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation of suspension from finely divided filler and nonfoaming nonshrinking polymer binder. Finely divided filler may be used in form of powders of glass-forming compositions in fractions within 40 mcm, powders of carbon, carbide- and/or nitride-, and/or carbonitride-forming metals or nonmetals. Suspension is applied to cloth blanks. Cloth blanks are formed into pack which is packed with pyrocarbon from gas phase. With use of powders of glass-forming compositions, suspension is applied to one of pack internal layers from cloth blanks, and before packing, it is subjected to additional heat treatment at temperature of partial fusing of glass-forming composition. with used of powders of carbon, carbide-, and/or nitride-, and/or carbonitride-forming powers, additional heat treatment is conducted after or during packing with pyrocarbon at temperature of carbidizing, nitridizing or carbonitridizing of respective metal or nonmetal. Packing with pyrocarbon is carried out by thermogradient method at excessive pressure of methane of 0.025-0.03 atm and speed of motion of pyrolysis zone of 0.1-0.5 mm/h with temperature of 950-1000 C.
