abstract FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, namely charge block used for making steels and alloys, for preparing raw material to blast-furnace melting at washing out walls and hearth. SUBSTANCE: briquette for metallurgical production includes iron-containing oxydized material, carburetor, binder, alloying additive, plasticizer, disintegrated iron -carbon alloy and fluxing additive at next relation of ingredients (mass%): oxydized iron-containing material 5- 57; disintegrated iron-carbon alloy 1-30; fluxing additive 1-10, plasticizer over 100% - in quantity (0.1-0.5)% of mass of binder. Charge material for washing out hearth of blast furnace includes oxydized iron-containing material in the form of briquette, mineral binder and plasticizer at next relation of ingredients (mass%): oxydized iron-containing material 80-90; mineral binder 10-20, plasticizer over 100% in quantity consisting (0.1-05)% of mass of mineral binder. Method for making briquettes comprises steps of preparing charge including iron- containing material, binder and plasticizer; mixing them; humidifying it with aqueous solution; compacting mixture by pressure at forming briquette by pressing; humidifying mixture by aqueous solution of plasticizer at concentration providing necessary strength of briquette; compacting mixture at specific pressure equal to 0.02-0.1 MPa and simultaneously subjecting mixture to vibration at frequency (30-70)Hz and oscillation amplitude (0.2-0.6)mm until providing irreversible thixotropic changes.
