SUBSTANCE: invention proposes biologically active compound of the general formula: Lys-Glu-Asp-Pro eliciting ability regulating functions of prostate and pharmacological agent containing effective dose of tetra- -peptide of the formula Lys-Glu- Asp-Pro or its salts as an active component and designated for parenteral administration. Method of regulation of prostate function involves curative administration to patient the pharmacological agent in doses 0.01-100 mcg/kg of body mass at least one time per a day for period that is necessary for attainment of therapeutic effect. Agent shows ability to regulate functions of prostate, normalize metabolism and microcirculation in prostate, it shows antioxidant effect and therefore this agent can be used for regulation of prostate function.
