titleOfInvention Method of absorbing gaseous oxidizable or reducing components through membrane
abstract FIELD: gas treatment. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to removing gaseous oxidizable components from gas phase, which is preferably used for removal of ethylene from stored fruit, mercury vapors from natural gas, and for removal of sulfur dioxide at its concentrations within a range of 0.001 to 10 mg/cu.m. Oxidizable components are absorbed by oxidant-including liquid phase, the two phases being directed either from one side or from above onto membrane, which is permeable for components to be absorbed. Invention provides method for membrane gas absorption, according to which gas phase contains at least one gaseous oxidizable component and at least one oxidant so that at least one of gaseous oxidizable components is absorbed by liquid phase, process proceeding as redox reaction between gas components and oxidant within at least one stage. Membranes are preferably in the form of hollow fibers. EFFECT: simplified procedure. 27 cl, 1 dwg
