abstract FIELD: manufacture of fans; temperature control systems in aviation and rocketry. SUBSTANCE: fan unit includes housing with n (n = 2, 3, etc) fairings inside it; electric motor is arranged inside each fairing, impeller is secured on shaft of electric motor; hubs of at least n-1 impellers are provided with spring-loaded folding blades engageable with arresting member in folded position which are made in the form of profiled sections on fairing surfaces. Blades of each of said n-1 impellers are made in the form of bases secured on axles and blades mounted immovable relative to them; blades are folding towards side opposite to fairing of said impeller; each base has projections on side opposite to blade for engagement with profiled section found on butt end of fairing directed towards impeller; hub has slots for receiving the projections of blades. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and adaptability to manufacture. 3 dwg
