abstract FIELD: chemistry of polymers. SUBSTANCE: described is method of preparing ethylene-propylene rubber by copolymerization of ethylene in hydrocarbon solvent in the presence of cycle diene comonomer or without it and catalyst complex based on organoaluminium compound, vanadium chloride or chloroxyvanadium and molecular weight regulator, e.g. hydrogen in reactor having incomplete level of filling as pressure is stabilized by varying degree of evaporation of monomers and solvent of reaction mixture followed by deactivation of catalyst, stabilization of polymer with antioxidant, washing polymer solution, degassing and drying of rubber, rectification of solvent and preparation of blend of polymerization. Catalyst complex component are mixed with blend containing ethylene and propylene within solubility limits in hydrocarbon solvent at temperatures from minus 30 C to minus 10 C, and cyclic diene hydrocarbon, and the whole is introduced into upper portion of first reactors of polymerization cascade comprising at least two reactors, and desired amount of monomers and hydrogen are introduced into lower portion of first reactors of cascade compound of common comb comprising monomers inlet and outlet steps, and polymer solution from second reactors of cascade is led into common manifold, mixed and directed for distillation as final polymerization stage takes place simultaneously, and distilled unpolarimerized monomers from cascade reactors are absorbed by solvent, compressed, condensed and recycled for polymerization.
