abstract FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves laminating conjunctiva above pinguecula into epithelial and subepithelial layers with superior epithelial layer to be separated later on. Then the pinguecula is separated and excised from sclera together with subepithelial layer of conjunctiva. The so produced defect is covered with the superior epithelial layer of conjunctiva. EFFECT: improved cosmetic results.
