titleOfInvention | Continuous stationary chromatographic separation of cadolinium isotopes (versions) |
abstract | FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is used for partial or complete separation of gadolinium isotopes, especially isotopes at high thermal- neutron capture cross-section by means of continuous stationary chromatography where ion- exchange resin is used as fixed phase; aqueous solution of ions on base of gadolinium isotope mixture is used as loading phase and aqueous wash-out solution of acid solvent is used as movable phase. Each of natural gadolinium isotopes is first washed out in elution volume separated from elution volume of other isotopes. According to preferable version, at least one of elution volumes contains only one gadolinium isotope. Method is conducted by continuous stationary scheme in single operation in ring-shaped continuous chromatograph. EFFECT: increased separation coefficients. 5 cl, 8 dwg, 2 tbl |
