titleOfInvention | Surgical method for treating glaucoma |
abstract | FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves separating conjunctive flap and Tenon's capsule with the base turned to limb. Triangular superficial scleral flap is cut out and separated. Non-penetrating incisions are made on three sides of rectangular corneoscleral flap and the fourth one is cut through. Supramide thread is introduced from the scleral side and it is brought out into the lateral cut in parallel to limb. The corneoscleral flap intended for being excised is sutured through the cut and fixed with double knot. The thread is conducted through the center of lateral side of the separated triangular superficial scleral flap bed. Posterior lip of the conjunctival incision is sutured with thread ends, brought to conjunctiva, being retained free. Two parallel sides of the rectangular corneoscleral flap marked in advance are cut through. After suturing the triangular flap to its place in pulling in turn the thread ends, the rectangular corneoscleral flap is placed in intermediate position for controlling intraocular fluid discharge rate. Then, the thread ends are tied in knot. EFFECT: reduced risk of traumatic complications; stabilized intraocular pressure; flat filtration cushion formed without marked cystic changes. |
