titleOfInvention Material possessing low field-emission threshold
abstract FIELD: electronic engineering; electrode materials for field emission. SUBSTANCE: proposed materials may be effectively used as cathodes for flat screens of displays, fluorescent lamps, and the like. Carbon materials obtained have amorphous and/or graphite-like structure depending on composition and structure of half-finished product. Carbon material has high open surface (35- 70 volume percent) of which 20-50 volume percent are nanocouplers measuring 0.6-2.5 nm. Mentioned nanocouplers are shaped in the course of chemical reaction between carbides and chlorine. Material is suitable for manufacturing parts of large size. EFFECT: reduced field-emission threshold at high conductivity, improved surface uniformity of emissive properties and time stability. 3 cl
