titleOfInvention Method for radio direction-finding
abstract FIELD: direction finding. SUBSTANCE: device may be used in systems for detection of position of radio sources. Direction finding method involves reading radio signal using three omnidirectional antennas, which form uniformly spaced antenna array, which radius is less than one third of radio signal wavelength. Then, method involves measuring distance between signals, which are received by respective pairs of antennas. Goal of invention is achieved by selection of maximal phase difference, correction of maximal phase difference value using values of two other measured phase differences, thus producing simultaneously three phase differences without sign reversal, production of three amplitude values of differential signals received by respective pairs of antennas taking into account signs of phase differences without sign reversal. Orientation angles within bearing plane of three respective pairs of antennas, three amplitude values of differential signals, and three phase differences without sign reversal are used for unambiguous detection of azimuth and wave leading edge inclination angle of radio signal source. Method decreases mismatch error and direction finding errors by order of magnitude due to decreased mutual influence of antennas in array. EFFECT: increased precision and sensitivity of direction bearing. 6 dwg
