abstract FIELD: organic chemistry, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention proposes substituted benzenesulfonulthioureas of the formula (I) where R(1) is (C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl; R(2) is (C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl or (C 1 -C 6 )-alkoxy-group; R(3) and R(4) are hydrogen atom. (C 1 -C 6 )-alkyl or in common they form the chain (-CH 2 ) 2-5 -; E is sulfur atom; X is oxygen atom; Y is the chain (-CH 2 ) 1-2 -; Ar is phenyl or naphthyl that canbeunsubstitutedorsubstitutedwith(C 1 -C 2 )-alkylor(C 1 -C 2 )-alkoxy-group. Proposed compounds show property to inhibit heart potassium channels with enhanced sensitivity to ATP (antiarrhythmic effect). Invention proposes also method of synthesis of derivatives of benzenesulfonylthioureas of the formula (I) by interaction of benzenesulfoneamide (II) or its salt (III) where M is alkaline or alkaline-earth metal ion, ammonium or tetraalkylammonium ion with R(1)-substituted isothiocyanate R(1)-N=C=S and pharmaceutical composition showing antiarrhythmic effect.
