titleOfInvention Method for controlling potato wireworm
abstract FIELD: plant protection. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to combating wireworm larvae on potato plantings. Method consists in preparing aqueous suspension of nematode species Steinernema carpocapsae or St. feltiae in amounts of 0.3 to 1.0 millions of invasive larvae in 0.5 l water per 1 sq. m area and applying this suspension topically under each potato plant in amount 0.1 l with budding phase as a latter date and between the first and second plant hilling. EFFECT: increased biological efficiency to 91-96% and twofold reduced consumption of suspension due to applying dosed amounts of nematodes directly to radical zone of potato. 2 cl, 2 tbl, 4 ex
