abstract FIELD: fire fighting means. SUBSTANCE: fire suppressing composition is stored in vessel under natural pressure of composition vapors. Compressed gas source is adapted for development of superhigh pressure of fire suppressing composition and is kept in balloons. Method involves connecting vessel to compressed gas source for creating superhigh pressure of fire suppressing composition within vessel, when firing zone is detected; discharging fire suppressing composition, which is under superhigh pressure, from vessel by opening valve and keeping it in open state for 60 s; supplying composition via pipeline and nozzle to firing zone. Such method and apparatus may be used for various kinds of fire suppressing compositions, including Halon. Balance is set in shorter time interval as compared to known methods and equipment. Besides, such method does not require expensive equipment which is normally used for adaptation of existing facilities to novel means.
