titleOfInvention Automobile hood
abstract FIELD: automobile industry; automobile body members. SUBSTANCE: hood is designed for passenger cars. Hood has face panel 1 in form thin-sheet stamped-out metal part with development surface provided with stiffening ribs 2 form engine compartment side. Panel 1 is covered with self-adhering noise-and- vibration damping coating from inner side relative to engine compartment. Coating is essentially a solid part molded of foamed, fibre or combination gas-permeable porous polymeric or natural material featuring high noise-and-vibration damping properties. Peculiarity of coating is that it is applied in a definite way owing to adhesive connection on inner surface of hood face panel 1 (from side of engine compartment) and on outer surfaces of stiffening ribs 2. EFFECT: improved operating characteristics, reduced noise. 3 cl, 5 dwg
