titleOfInvention Hydrogen isotope separation method
abstract FIELD: nuclear industry. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when preparing heavy water and purifying it to remove tritium. Water flow, after its top reversal, is fed onto the first from the top phase isotope-exchange element and, further, consecutively downward through the column, onto next even (when numerate from the top) elements. Molar ratio of water steam flow to hydrogen flow ranges from 0.6:1 to 1.3:1. Products are discharged from the top and bottom sections of column. Degree of separation varies from 4.22 to 145.6. Amount of catalyst is thus reduced at the same degree of separation and dimensions of column are decreased by 1.4 times. EFFECT: enhanced process efficiency. 6 dwg, 1 tbl
