titleOfInvention Orthodontic apparatus for treating orally positioned central teeth of the maxilla and mandible
abstract FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has bearing part and horizontally mounted guide bushings. Active part is introduced into the bushings as straight wire segment possessing shape memory properties. The segment has cross-section corresponding to internal bushing diameter and is movable on bushings and thrust against them. Orthodontic crowns manufactured in individually selected shape are used as bearing part rigidly fixed on the teeth to be treated. The device is applied in two modes: mechanical one and retention one. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reduced probability of caries injuries; low weight of the apparatus. 2 cl
