abstract FIELD: organic chemistry and technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of synthesis of a new 1-ethyl-2-(2'-phenylethylene)-3-phenylalumocyclopropane that can be used as component of catalytic system in processes of oligomerization and polymerization of olefins and diene hydrocarbons, in the fine organic, industrial and organometallic synthesis. Method involves interaction of 1,4-diphenylbutadiene ( ) with ethylaluminium dichloride (EtAlCl 2 ) and metallic magnesium at mole ratio = 10: (10-14): (10-14) in the presence of titanocene dichloride as catalyst. Reaction is carried out in argon atmosphere under normal conditions using tetrahydrofuran as the solvent. The yield of the end compound is 75-94%. The method ensures to synthesize the individual 1-ethyl-2-(2'-phenylethylene)-3-phenylalumocyclopropane at high degree of regioselectivity.
