titleOfInvention Method and facility for energy generation
abstract FIELD: nuclear fusion processes. SUBSTANCE: method for energy generation due to fusion of nuclei involves cooling of deuterium pellets to temperature approaching absolute zero, their periodic supply to core of pre-evacuated reaction chamber shielded from external electromagnetic fields, and their bombardment with slightly focused deuteron beams of minimal possible sizes in direction of their movement. Deuterons are polarized in beams just like they were in pellets and positioned so that axes of revolution of their nucleons were parallel to those of nucleons in pellets. Then they are accelerated to speed sufficient for deuterons to penetrate deep into deuterium pellets. Energy- generating facility has liquid deuterium tank, dosing apparatus for feeding liquid deuterium to mold-shaping sleeves, deuterium- helium heat-transfer apparatus inside electromagnet, helium additional cooling unit, device for feeding deuterium pellets to core, reaction chamber with cooling channel, coolant circulating tank, vacuum chamber, vacuum pump, coolant tank accommodating steam-water system heat exchanger, water pump, and turbine coupled with generator. It is provided with deuteron polarizing and accelerating unit connected through its outlet to reaction chamber core and through main line, to one of three outlets of deuterium liquefying and helium separating device whose remaining two outlets are connected through lines to liquid deuterium tank and to helium additional cooling unit. Facility inlet is connected through vacuum pump, vacuum chamber, and valve to reaction chamber wherefrom non-reacting deuterium and fused helium are fed. EFFECT: improved effectiveness and environmental friendliness of facility. 2 cl, 32 dwg
