titleOfInvention | Method and device for splinting of teeth |
abstract | FIELD: medicine, namely prosthetic dentistry. SUBSTANCE: method of tooth splinting consists in formation of cavities, 2.0-3.0 mm deep and 2.0-3.0 mm in diameter on occluded approximate surfaces of adjacent teeth at place of their greatest contact. Distance between centers of formed cavities is measured. Wire fasteners in form of "dumbbell" are selected according to length. After fasteners are introduced into cavities of teeth they are fixed by embedding pins in centers of "dumbbell" rings, in tooth tissue at angle of 12-15 deg. to its vertical axis. Preliminarily end of pin is wetted by light- strengthening gasket for deep caries. Then cavities are disinfected and closed. Device intended for method realization has fasteners made in one piece in form of separate "dumbbell" 1 with rings 2 at ends manufactured of stainless steel wire, 0.3-0.4 mm in diameter, or of silver or gold alloy wire, 0.4-0.6 mm in diameter, as well as fixing members 3 of fasteners 1 made in form of pins. Length of "dumbbell" between centers of rings 2 equals 2.0-10.0 mm. Due to uniform distribution and transmission of masticatory pressure, device makes it possible to fix teeth of both upper and lower jaw over arch, as well as anterior and side teeth. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and durability of splinter. 3 cl, 2 dwg |
