FIELD: oxidation catalysts. SUBSTANCE: method consists in selective oxidation of aryl alkyl hydrocarbons of general formula I: (I), wherein P and Q, the same or different, are alkyl groups, x is integer from 1 to 3, and Ar is x-valent aromatic hydrocarbon group, with oxygen- containing gas in presence of catalyst based on transition metal complex and having, as ligand, cyclic multifunctional amino compound with at least three nitrogen atoms in the ring forming molecular chain or multifunctional amino compound with open chain with at least three nitrogen atoms in principal chain of molecule, on condition that transition metal complex is different from porphyrin and phthalocyanine. Method enables preparing aryl alkyl hydroperoxides selectively with high concentration at high reaction rate and with no significant decomposition of hydroperoxide product. In addition, complexes with transition metals such as iron, nickel, manganese, cobalt, copper, ruthenium, or rhodium suitable for preparing catalyst utilized in invention are also prepared. EFFECT: increased selectivity and productivity of production of hydroperoxides. 25 cl, 4 tbl, 80 ex |
