FIELD: ceramics. SUBSTANCE: suspension is prepared by mixing fine ceramic powder in aqueous liquid-carrier combining it with dispersant and optionally with organic binder to form slip. Ceramic powder has average particle size close to 0.5 mcm or less and, prior to be charged, is a part of suspension and constitutes up to 30% of total volume of solids in suspension. Passivator is present in liquid-carrier in amounts from 0.5 to 5% of the weight of ceramic powder present in suspension and slip, respectively. With dispersant added, suspension has yield strength below 23 Pa and apparent viscosity below 3 Pa s. Wet layer prepared from slip has pore size less than 0.5 mcm. EFFECT: enabled preparation of stable slip suspensions of ceramic powders with surface passivated against soluble anions and cations by very thin layer of relatively insoluble passivator. 10 cl, 28 dwg, 1 tbl |
