abstract | FIELD: metal-working industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves smelting cast iron, with rare-earth metals and strontium being additionally introduced into burden material simultaneously with fluxed agglomerate in an amount of 0.001-0.7% by weight of rare-earth metals and 0.01-1.0% by weight of strontium; additionally introducing solid fuel including coke into burden material in amounts making 10-30% by weight of strontium and 75-90% by weight of rare-earth metals, i. e. of total weight of these components introduced into burden material with fluxed agglomerate. Method provides sulfurization intensiveness and depth at blast furnace conversion stage to be increased by optimum employment of properties of rare-earth metals and strontium. EFFECT: increased technological effectiveness of blast furnace and other conversions, improved strength of produced cast iron, steels, alloys and products, increased susceptibility of agglomerate to reduction and reduced consumption of fuel. 28 cl, 1 ex |
