FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: process is designed to be used in production of alumina for corundum refractory materials, ceramics, and abrasives and consists in grinding preliminarily calcined bauxite, adding specified amounts of carbon to form silicon monoxide and iron carbide, briquetting resulting mix under pressing, baking briquettes at 1200-1300 c under vacuum, and performing magnetic operation. EFFECT: reduced usage of raw materials and simplified process. 4 ex |
