abstract FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: method comprises creating at least some portion of reaction system for hydrodealkylation with carbonization- resistant composition and contacting hydrocarbon with hydrogen under non-catalytic hydrodealkylation conditions. Improved resistance to carbonization and embrittlement of central tubular lattice of thermal non- catalytic reaction system is attained by coating the lattice with copper, tin arsenic, antimony, germanium, gallium, indium, selenium, tellurium, lead, bismuth or chromium, or alloys thereof. Method makes it possible to carry out dealkylation of hydrodealkylating hydrocarbon without sulfur.
