abstract FIELD: recovery of precious metals by leaching. SUBSTANCE: hydrometallurgical process of recovery of precious metals from refractory ores of precious metals containing carbon by thiosulfate leaching includes creation of mass of particles and/or macroparticles of ore material containing precious metals and carbon components absorbing precious metal content; introduction of mass of particles and/or macroparticles in contact with solution of thiosulfate leaching agent under conditions promoting formation of stable complexes of thiosulfate of precious metal; recovery of thiosulfate leaching agent from mass of particles and/or macroparticles after contact period sufficient for saturation of leaching solution with content of precious metals recovered from ore material; and recovery of precious metal from the leaching agent solution.
