titleOfInvention | Method of differential diagnosis of fibroadenoma and breast cancer in histological slices |
abstract | FIELD: medicine, pathological anatomy. SUBSTANCE: method involves rehydration of histological slices in samples taken off at surgery operation followed by removing paraffin residues. Activity of endogeneous peroxidase and nonspecific sorption of immunoglobulins are inhibited and histological slices are treated with the primary antibodies raised to alpha-2-macroglobulin and alpha-2-glycoprotein. Histological slices are incubated with the secondary antibodies and selective staining of alpha-2-macroglobulin or alpha-2-glycoprotein (yellow-brown colors) are obtained. Detection degree is determined on the basis of staining intensity. Tumor is diagnosed as fibroadenoma at high degree of detection of alpha-2-macroglobulin (brown color) and at low degree of detection of alpha-2-glycoprotein (pale-yellow color). Breast cancer is diagnosed at low degree of detection of alpha-2-macroglobulin (pale-yellow color) and at high degree of detection of alpha-2-glycoprotein (brown color). EFFECT: improved precision of diagnosis. |
