FIELD: organic chemistry and technology. SUBSTANCE: method of synthesis of ethylene/1-butene or ethylene/1-butene/diene elastomer involves suspension polymerization of monomers in polymerizating medium consisting of 1-butene excess to be retained in a liquid form. Process is carried out in the presence of catalyst based on metallocene compound of titanium, zirconium or hafnium. Method excludes reactor pollution and its realization ensures to isolate polymer without steam using as an inert agent promoting to steaming.
