abstract FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: present invention describes method of isolating HF from liquid mixtures containing coolants 123 and/or 124. Mixtures enriched in C 2 Cl 4 to attain 20-75 wt% are subjected to treatment for separation of liquid phases to obtain gas phase rich in HF and organic phase depleted in HF. Said organic phase is subjected to instantaneous evaporation to produce liquid phase containing coolants 123, 124 and C 2 Cl 4 with low HF content, and gas phase enriched in HF. As alternative to instantaneous evaporation, separation in distillation column is done. The claimed method is much simpler than the well known method.
